Dr. Hugh S. Glidewell, DVM
Dr. Glidewell is the owner and senior veterinarian at Waynedale Animal Clinic. He is a native of Fort Wayne, a graduate of Elmhurst High School, and has lived and worked in this area for much of his life. Dr. Glidewell completed his undergraduate studies at IPFW and later graduated from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1970. He has been the owner and operator of Waynedale Animal Clinic since 1985. In fact, Dr. Glidewell first started working at the practice in 1960, as a yard and kennel worker, eventually working his way to the top. Dr. Glidewell enjoys the variety and challenge of small animal general practice and has a special interest in laser surgery, advanced veterinary dentistry, and class IV medical laser therapy. Dr. Glidewell is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Glidewell spends much of his time on his boat on Lake Wawasee with his wife, Rhea, and their numerous small breed dogs. Dr. Glidewell also enjoys golfing and photography, is a member of his church choir, and is always looking for a new good joke.
Dr. Andrew W. Riebe, DVM
Dr. Riebe was born and raised in Fort Wayne and is a graduate of Homestead High School. He attended Purdue University for his undergraduate coursework, where he majored in biochemistry. He graduated from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 2011. He has been working as an associate veterinarian at Waynedale Animal Clinic since July of 2011. Dr. Riebe enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, with a particular interest in internal medicine, canine and feline preventive health care, and pet nutrition. He oversees the puppy socialization classes at Waynedale Animal Clinic and has a special interest in canine and feline behavioral development. Dr. Riebe is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Riebe enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Amanda, and their dog, Griffin. His hobbies include reading, golf, and spending time outdoors.
